Some stuff about me!

My name is Anna McGloin and I am a recent graduate of Animation! (Bachelor of Arts in Animation (Hons) level degree at LYIT) I am a freelance animator and character designer from the west of Ireland who loves bright colours, monster girls and cute animals. Currently I am a trainee 2D animator at Lighthouse studios, where I am working on my first feature film!

I am a self-motivated individual and I am eager to learn new skills as I start my journey into the animation industry, to further my knowledge and increase my responsibility.

During my time at college I was president of our Animation society at LYIT which is in the running for the 2018/19 society awards. I was a team manager and leader of LYIT’s ‘Re-animation Project’ a project I created earlier this year to celebrate the 50th birthday of our college. Bringing together all animators within our college as well as those who have graduated and are working in the industry.  I also ran small classes with younger years of our course teaching character design, basic animation skills and programmes such as ToonBoom Harmony, Adobe Animate, Photoshop, Paint Tool SAI and Clipstudio. I recently completed my final college film called ‘Burger Time,’ which I created using ToonBoom Harmony’s software. For this film my aim was to create expressive and fluid moving characters appealing to a younger audience.
